LUEDER SS26 Wants You To Have a Seat at the Fashion Table
info@hypebae.com (Hypebae) Sun, 21 Sep 2025 HypebaeLast season, for Fall/Winter 2026, Marie Lueder threw a rave at London Fashion Week. For Spring/Summer 2026, with her eponymous label, the designer turned her attention to the environment of a dinner party, a setting she feels nostalgic for but also recognizes as a reflection of culture and exclusivity. "I really appreciate human connection and having time with my friends, and I realized that I don't have that enough, she tells Hypebae. "I wanted this place to be a dinner table going crazy. It's about joy and feeling comfortable with your peers."
In the collection dubbed "Convivium," or "feast" in Latin, the designer staged a banquet, as a reminder of fashion's role as a social glue, an expression of community, sensuality and tenderness. Above all, it calls for a fashion industry that makes space for everyone at the table: more people, more stories and more beauty.
To research the collection, Lueder mined the charged energy of shared spaces from medieval festivals to the mania of football stadiums, which is evident in reimagined football jerseys carrying the label's signature fusion of medieval armor and sportswear. On the runway, tailored, sculptural pieces gave way to oversized shapes. The materials were equally layered: waxed cotton woven in Britain, jersey and denim staples, regenerated nylon made from ocean plastics, organic cotton knit and a custom flocked jacquard developed with Italian mill Pointex. The palette carried Lueder's inspiration from the natural world with sunburnt greys, rusty teal and washed-out neutrals.
Elsewhere, collaboration remained central to her practice including a capsule collection with PULL&BEAR, a headwear partnership with Maustein and 4FSB and a technology partnership with London-based brand Nothing.
