Fall is hurdling in our direction faster than ever this year. I still can’t believe we’re only a few weeks away from colorful leaves and cozy sweaters. Because the best items tend to sell out before the season even starts, I’ve already gone shopping (more than once) and have thoughts on my latest visit to the Nordstrom dressing room.
There are so many items I’ve drooled over online that I didn’t end up taking home with me in the end. The in-person test never fails, so I’m glad I gave these items a go. And I promise you they won’t disappoint. Below, feel free to peruse my own personal Nordstrom shopping cart.
I'm currently on the hunt for elevated basics I can easily throw on and go. This one-shoulder tank top comes in a beautiful army green colorway and is incredibly comfortable. I'll be styling it with the barrel-leg jeans fashion editors are currently in love with.
In the fall, I always find a sweater dress or two that I can't seem to take off. Whether it's a working breakfast or a casual dinner with friends, this dress will be perfect for any occasion. It's super comfortable and easy to take on and off. The texture was a detail I noticed up close and fell in love with. If you're a cool girl, you'll style it with jeans.
There are a lot of blazers on Nordstrom's site, and I tried on at least five during my recent trip to the NYC flagship store. While some disappointed me, this one was even better in person. It looks like I paid triple the price for it.
September in New York rotates between hot and cold. I love the idea of styling this top with a sweater and peeling it off when the weather allows me to. It was fun, flirty, and very comfortable.
When I saw this dress, I thought I'd made a mistake as I'd only intended to try on items that cost less than $100. This looks like it just came off the runway in Copenhagen. The quality of the cotton poplin was incredible, and I'd do anything to wear it again.
I've never wanted to party in a blazer before but look at this one. It sucks you in and is so flattering, so I highly suggest trying it on yourself.
I'm trying to keep myself from falling into the trap of letting go of all the color in my wardrobe this fall, and a light blue blazer is the perfect way of doing that. I can imagine so many sweaters that will look good peeking out from underneath it.
