Meet Still Here, the Denim Brand Growing Coffee Beans Using Cotton Waste
info@hypebae.com (HYPEBAE) Tue, 03 May 2022 HYPEBAEStill Here is New York's rising brand that offers both denim and coffee through a circular production cycle.
The label creates timeless pieces ranging from denim jackets to jeans, with standout pieces featuring details such as hand-painted stripes and hand-woven fabric appliqué. Any cotton waste created from the production of these garments is used to grow coffee beans, which are used at Still Here Café. This closed-loop production system allows for minimizing waste.
Still Here's bestsellers include the "Bone" collection, which features the brand's most sustainable denim with fabrics composed of 80% upcycled cotton and 20% organic cotton. The cotton, mixed with soil, adds speckle to the materials, creating a vintage, worn-in feel.
Meanwhile, Still Here Café offers coffee beans produced in partnership with a coffee farm in Guatemala. The medium roast beans boast a chocolatey flavor with notes of orange and walnut.
You can learn more about Still Here and its production processes via the official website. The label has recently opened its first-ever boutique store in NYC, where visitors can see the denim pieces IRL while enjoying a cup of coffee.
