Contemporary artist Cj Hendry is taking her creativity off the canvas and into the world of collectible toys with juju, in partnership with Phillips. Known for her hyperrealist drawings and immersive installations, Hendry now turns her imagination toward a new, playful direction, and we can't wait to get our hands on this one. Labubu who?

Both a character and a piece of art, the collectible is an endearing figure with floppy ears and a flower draped over one eye. More than a toy, juju is a friend, a guardian and a little muse to be cherished, collected or simply admired. The project marks Hendry's third significant work in Hong Kong and will see a major debut.

A spectacular Christmas installation at Upper House Hong Kong will reveal a towering tree made of 200 oversized plush green juju toys on November 17, 2025. The whimsical display will be on view until January 2, 2026, with the plush jujus adorning the tree available for 'adoption,' and proceeds benefiting Mother's Choice, a local charity dedicated to supporting children without families and pregnant teenagers in Hong Kong.

Each juju will have its own wooden collector's box with a signed and numbered adoption card that you can collect once the tree is dismantled. Following the installation, there will also be an immersive pop-up exhibition at Phillips' Asia headquarters, running from November 29 to December 2. The juju will also evolve into a broader collectible universe with bag charms in 24 iterations and offered in blind boxes for that added whimsy and surprise. "I've always loved the idea of taking art off the walls and into people's hands," says Hendry. "Juju is all about joy and collectability—playful, lighthearted and meticulously crafted."

The juju collectible bag charms will be available to purchase on-site during the pop-up exhibition and through Cj Hendry's website.
