Devon Lee Carlson Is the Star of a Hot New Zine

One thing we didn't know we needed: a Belvedere Vodka zine. But now that it exists, it's all we can think about. The limited-edition inaugural publication stars Devon Lee Carlson, with stylist Gabriella Karefa-Johnson as Editor-in-Chief and lensed by Alana O'Herlihy. That's hot.

Aptly titled "Hot Child in the City," the issue is directed in a "slapstick cinema verité style," as per the press release, and showcases a day-to-night in New York with cameos from all three girls. The carefully selected locations and handwritten touches with illustrations show a playful take on the city that Johnson grew up in. Part editorial, part visual diary, the final product is a vibrant ode to the Big Apple and an aesthetic manifestation of the phrase "hot mess."

Glitz, glam, gold and a martini, "Hot Child in the City" is a technicolor fever dream of a city that screams adventure. Following the protagonist, played by Carlson, the affair takes us from the Albright Fashion Library, where vintage oozes from the walls, to a corner shop and a subway ride, adding that everyday charm. The story ends with martinis and fries at a late-night spot that'll give you major FOMO. This feels like Sex and the City but with a modern, It-girl edge. Giving a whole new level to the word 'spirit,' the famed vodka brand is giving us plenty of that here.
