Cecilie Bahnsen Celebrated 10 Years of Beauty at Copenhagen Fashion Week
info@hypebae.com (Hypebae) Fri, 08 Aug 2025 HypebaeCecilie Bahnsen returned to Copenhagen Fashion Week this season for an ultra-special anniversary show commemorating 10 years of the brand. Taking up CPHFW's new guest slot -- which is set to become an annual occurrence -- the showcase took place on the last day of fashion week, transporting guests to Refshaleøen, a post-industrial peninsula.
Described as "more than a retrospective," the celebratory showcase was titled "Hana-bi," translating to "fireworks" in Japanese. For Bahnsen, this manifested as a perfect blend of duality, delicacy and disruption. "Every time I begin a new collection, I start with white. It feels like a canvas," the designer said of the showcase, which featured a slew of all-white looks that slowly transitioned into hues of silver and lilac.

Opening the show was rising model Ísadóra Bjarkardóttir Barney, also known as Björk's daughter, debuting a sheer, floral gown with Bahnsen's signature ties. The collection as a whole featured a mixture of archival pieces in new fabrications and hues, along with one-off pieces made especially for the show. Comprising airy skirts, sequinned gowns and mini briefs, the showcase brought together all of Bahnsen's distinctive designs, accompanied by a backdrop of glittering fireworks and pure joy.
