Take a First Look at Jenna Ortega in Netflix's 'Wednesday'

Netflix has unveiled its first teaser trailer for its upcoming series Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega.

The official synopsis reads as follows: "The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday's attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago -- all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore."

To give viewers a deeper inside look into the iconic character, there is now an official Twitter account for Wednesday Addams, whose bio is "tortured writer, emphasis on torture." Meanwhile, her first tweet reads, "I’ve started this account as an experiment in sadism. Thing tells me Twitter is the most effective place to feel pain and misery. Let the games begin."

According to a post on the series' official Instagram account, Wednesday is slated to premiere on Netflix this fall.
