The New Liverpool FC and adidas Kit Is Steeped in Club History
info@hypebae.com (Hypebae) Wed, 10 Sep 2025 HypebaeLiverpool FC and adidas just dropped a new kit, and it's steeped in club history. Designed for the 2025-2026 football season, the exclusive third kit lands in a striking sea green colorway and takes inspiration from LFC kits of the '90s and early 2000s.
The jersey also marks the return of the adidas Originals Trefoil to an LFC kit for the first time in almost 35 years. Continuing the heritage theme, it reimagines the team's classic crest from 1987-1992, blending the past with modern design, with the back of the jersey featuring the '97 emblem enclosed by eternal flames.
The jersey is available in three iterations: short-sleeve, long-sleeve and a newly designed cropped version, alongside white shorts that feature accents of the same green. The drop also offers a slick all-black goalie kit and accessories to style outside of gameday, including hats and an LFC Gazelle sneaker.
The launch video presents Liverpool actor and Reds' fan James Nelson-Joyce alongside men's and women's first team players Fuka Nagano, Andy Robertson and club legend Steve McManaman. Focused on homegrown talent, it also sees familiar faces like DJ Lauren Lo Sung and influencers Yombo and The Scouse Ghetto Gourmet making an appearance.
The kit is now available via the LFC online store, and it's set to make its on-pitch debut with the women's team on November 22 against Sheffield United in the Women's League Cup.
