Urban Decay has tapped singer and songwriter Mariah the Scientist to be the face of its new Tube Job Tubing Mascara campaign. Inspired by the mascara's innovative formula, the star entered the lab to test out the product's claims of "instant length and a gravity-defying lift."

Citing Mariah the Scientist's background in biology and affinity for dramatic lashes, Urban Decay says the partnership seamlessly blends science, artistry and attitude. In the campaign, the artist breaks down the science behind the mascara's formula and demonstrates its easy-to-use application and lightweight feel. "Scientifically proven to put an end to raccoon eyes," she says in the cheeky campaign video. "I'm a scientist, I should know."

Released after nearly four years of development, the Tube Job Tubing Mascara is said to deliver major lift that won't droop or weigh lashes down. Infused with 89% serum, the mascara also aims to strengthen and condition with continued use — resulting in soft yet strong lashes. "It's total package lash augmentation," the brand says.

The Tube Job Tubing Mascara retails for $25 USD and will be available for purchase on the brand's website starting December 22.
