Hobo-core, mud-caked models, dirt-wash jeans and distressing, fashion's fascination with filth has long taken over runways and high streets alike. The Barbican's ongoing exhibition in London, "Dirty Looks: Desire and Decay in Fashion," brings together over 60 fashion houses and emerging designers to trace the industry's enduring obsession with filthy aesthetics.

As part of the showcase, the venue is hosting "Dirty Weekend," a series of events which take the ideas from the exhibition, dialing them up to celebrate sex, sweat, protest and pleasure through performances, talks, screenings and much more. As part of the lineup, designer Di Petsa is staging her first-ever play.

The performance will showcase a new Bridal capsule worn by models and performers, including CEVAL, Xiaoqiao and Genevieve Welsh. Titled "Wet Brides Rebirth," Dimitra Petsa created this original live performance piece to honor Ancient Greek fertility rites and spiritual movement. Erotic poetry, rebirth and Mothers' milk guide the narrative through performance, breath and transforming garments that unravel and reimagine rituals of union and devotion. This is an ode to the eternal cycle of self-creation and the fertile ground within us. Bridging the gap between runway and live art, this exploration of intimacy and desire comes together in an unmissable evening from one of the most compelling voices in fashion today.

The performance takes place on November 29 at the Barbican Center. Head to the website to get your tickets and check out the rest of the schedule.
