Not long after new creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli presented his debut collection for Balenciaga at Paris Fashion Week, the designer returned to share his first-ever campaign for the brand. Lensed by David Sims, the latest campaign marks a new era for the house and, in turn, introduces a new Balenciaga woman.

"For my first campaign for the House, I wanted to create something that felt truly personal and could tell a story of effortless beauty and delicate humanity. Working with my dear friend and artist, David Sims, made it even more special. Together, we captured Mona and Sandra as they are — spontaneous, real, soft, yet strong — a reflection of the new Balenciaga woman and the beginning of a chapter that feels deeply meaningful to me," said Piccioli in a press release.

According to the brand's press release, the new Balenciaga woman is defined by "quiet strength, sensitivity and self-possession." Starring Mona Tougaard and Sandra Murray, each talent is captured inside Paris's l’Hôtel de Maisons, embodying themes of power, elegance and authenticity.

Spotlighting two of the house's long-lasting emblems, the campaign centers around the Rodeo and Le City bags, acting as symbols of the brand's duality. Merging "effortless utility" with "refined allure," the new visuals confirm that a new era has indeed arrived.
