CLOT, adidas Originals and Caroline Hú Drop Taekwondo Collaboration at PFW
info@hypebae.com (Hypebae) Fri, 03 Oct 2025 HypebaeParis Fashion Week isn't short on theatrics, but few presentations managed to balance softness and force quite like CLOT and adidas Originals' showcase in collaboration with designer Caroline Hú. The centerpiece of the show was a reimagined version of adidas Originals' classic Taekwondo, redesigned through Hu's romantic, ethereal aesthetic.
Built on the original slim-profile sole of the Taekwondo silhouette, Hu's interpretation paired functional foot straps with a sleek, debossed upper etched with discreet nods to Adidas' heritage. The shoe came in three colorways: triple black, powder pink, and soft ivory, and each one shifted the mood of the design entirely, from brooding to balletic.

What made the presentation so striking was the duality running through it. Models moved with the discipline of martial artists and the delicacy of dancers, turning the footwear into a symbol rather than just a product. Hu's vision treated vulnerability as a source of strength rather than something to hide.
CLOT founder Edison Chen summed it up best in his post-show remarks: "This collaboration embodies our core philosophy of East meets West in the most beautiful way," he said. "Caroline's delicate, romantic vision merged with the strength and discipline of Taekwondo creates a dialogue between contrasting worlds – exactly what we've always sought to achieve at CLOT."
His long-standing mission to blend cultural codes found new resonance through Hu's hyper-feminine lens. Instead of hardening the Taekwondo roots of the silhouette, she softened them without dulling their intent.
The CLOT x adidas Originals x Caroline Hú Taekwondo will release globally on October 4 for $150 USD on the brand's website.
