It’s Game on With This Rains and Umbro Collaboration

The game is on in this new Rains and Umbro collab. The brands are taking things up a notch with a collection that gives football culture a high-fashion remix, blending sleek minimalism with streetwear energy. The capsule, titled "Apply Pressure," brings classic sportswear vibes together with a modern edge that will get you serving looks and goals. Who says fashion and football can't be on the same team?

Rooted in football tailoring since the 1920s, Umbro combines its expertise with Rains' tailored sportswear aesthetic to bring us something new and needed within the football fan space. "So much of football fashion is loud and graphic. Our designs have a sense of quiet confidence, a sleekness, a presence that doesn't need to shout," shares Rains Brand Marketing Director, Joshua Bredehoeft in the press release. Umbro's Drill Shirt was a significant influence, as it was the first sportswear piece to transition from the stadium terraces to the wider streets, helping Rains reimagine the pieces without losing their history.

At the heart of the capsule are the Drill Top, Apollo Cape, Manager Coat and Fan Puffer, with the full collection covering outerwear, footwear, clothing and accessories. It also sees the debut of the Rains x Umbro sneaker (Rains' second-ever sneaker), inspired by the Umbro Fusion, and featuring a low-profile silhouette with exposed outer stitching. The pieces use the Rains lightweight UV-protective material for light layering and the signature waterproof PU, but this time with a textured finish as a nod to football surfaces. Hit the stadiums in a new sleek style or simply strut the city streets in this versatile capsule.

The collection launches September 24 on the Rains website and in Rains stores globally.
