Rare Beauty and Tajín Team up for the Brand’s First Collaboration
info@hypebae.com (Hypebae) Thu, 21 Aug 2025 HypebaeRare Beauty just announced a collaboration with Tajín. The limited-edition set references the chile pepper hues the beloved Mexican seasoning is known for, along with Rare Beauty's ethos of simplistic beauty and unapologetic confidence. For the brand's first-ever collaboration, the duo created two new shades of the viral Soft Liquid Blush and the new Positive Light Luminizing Lip Gloss.
The new blush shade "Chamoy" is a deep red brown inspired by the Mexican sauce made from dry fruit. Just like the original Soft Liquid Blush, the Tajín-esque hue promises to give the skin a high-impact flush while leaving you feeling dewy and lightweight. On the other hand, the "Clásico" Positive Light Luminizing Lip Gloss closely resembles Tajín's classic seasoning. It's a rich terracotta with flecks of copper and gold, for hydrated lips that feel as good as they look.
When dreaming up the collaboration, founder Selena Gomez referenced her own Mexican heritage. "This collab is a celebration of what makes us unique — our culture, our energy and the moments that bring us together. Just like Tajín, these shades bring boldness, warmth, and a spark of joy to every occasion," Gomez says in a press release.
In honor of the collaboration, Rare Beauty plans to make a donation to the National School of Ceramics — which Tajín co-founded in hopes of preserving the legacy of Mexican ceramic artists. Plus, in addition to Rare Beauty's usual 1% of sales that benefits the Rare Impact Fund to support the mental health of young people, the brand will also make a contribution to Latinx Therapy, which aims to destigmatize mental health in the Latinx community.
The limited-edition set retails for $30 USD and is available for purchase on the brand's website.
