In 2016, Melanie Martinez's cult-favorite Cry Baby Perfume Milk changed the game for milky perfumes. Since then, the scent has remained sold out for five years — with bottles reselling for up to $1,000. In response to the high demand, Flower Shop Perfumes is officially re-releasing the perfume, just in time for the ten year anniversary of Martinez's Cry Baby album.

With notes of strawberry, milk and caramel, the Cry Baby Perfume has gained a reputation for being both complex and versatile — with Martinez herself citing it as her go-to scent for the spring and summer. When it comes to its highly-anticipated relaunch, the singer says it's an extremely special moment for her. "It was my first creation in the scent world and at the time I really didn't know much about fragrance. I was so proud of this artistic offering at that time, and even to this day I'm so grateful young me was able to see it through — catapulting me into a forever love for fragrance," she tells Hypebae.

When looking back on the creation of the perfume, the New York native recalls having a very clear vision of what she wanted Cry Baby Perfume Milk to be, "I was 20 running off pure instincts and wanted to expand into more avenues of world building for my first album." Now, the star is excited for even more people to experience the scent — without having to spend thousands of dollars on eBay.

Although the re-release will be identical to the original scent, the new Cry Baby Perfume Milk now boasts a bigger 100ML bottle, along with the addition of an easy-to-use magnetic cap. "I run out so quickly so I wanted to make sure it can last a while," Martinez says. Finally, fans no longer have to savor every last drop.

The Cry Baby Perfume Milk retails for $175 USD and is available for preorder on the Portals Parfums website.
