Flip-flops, Silky Scarves and Swimming Pools: Welcome to OpéraSPORT SS26

Not many fashion shows start off at a swimming pool, but OpéraSPORT's Spring/Summer 2026 showcase did. This season at Copenhagen Fashion Week, founders Stephanie Gundelach and Awa Malina Stelter took inspiration from a recent trip to Seoul, exploring themes of tradition, poetry and cultural harmony. The pool, housed in the city's Frederiksberg Badene facility, echoed the poolside view from the founders' hotel in Seoul, and acted as the starting point for this collection.

Revisiting the brand's signature color palette of pastel green and blue, this season also introduced hues of "Sage" and "Butter Yellow," in a nod to Seoul's tonal cityscapes. Debuting a new hibiscus flower print, the new design aims to highlight Korea's national flower. Along with bodysuits and classic midi dresses, SS26 featured several sheer 3D lace silhouettes and swimwear styles with floral-embroidered swimming caps and cover-ups.

Crafted from recycled and organic fabrics, the collection was accompanied by a new collaboration between OpéraSPORT and the Brazilian flip-flop brand, havaianas -- arguably one of the most popular brands of the year. Debuting the first-ever 3D-printed flip-flop, the new release was developed in partnership with footwear technology company Zellerfeld.
