Huda Kattan Takes Back Full Ownership of Huda Beauty
info@hypebae.com (Hypebae) Fri, 06 Jun 2025 HypebaeAfter an eight-year partnership with TSG Consumer, Huda Kattan, Huda Beauty's founder and co-CEO, has officially regained full control over the brand. The news comes after Kattan bought back TSG's minority stake which was originally acquired in 2017. As a result, Huda Beauty is now one of the few fully independent, founder-owned beauty brands. "Taking back full ownership of Huda Beauty is a deeply important moment for me," Kattan shares in a press release.

Since the brand's launch in 2013, Kattan has emphasized her desire to be a disruptor in the beauty industry. Not only was Huda Beauty founded as one of the first influencer-led brands to hit Sephora, it was built on Kattan's desire to express herself with makeup.
For this reason, Kattan was lovingly given the nickname "internet's big beauty sister," and that sentiment is evident in Huda Beauty's ethos. "This brand was built on passion, creativity, and a desire to challenge the beauty industry. As we step into this new chapter, I'm more committed than ever to pushing boundaries, staying true to our roots, and showing up for our incredible community every step of the way," she says.
Founder-led beauty brands are few and far between, and Huda Beauty's independence is paving the way for the future.
