Whether through the Mostro or Speedcat, there’s no doubt PUMA is spearheading the low-profile sneaker trend that has taken the fashion world by storm.
The 1999-released sneaker received a cult following in the millennium for its futuristic look, and is now being embraced by a contemporary audience as an extension of the wider Y2K revival.
Since its reissue in 2024, the brand has continued to build on its everlasting impact. For this latest installment, Hypebae has teamed up with PUMA to showcase the sneaker’s versatility through a range of styles assessed with the barometer: Disruptive vs Uniform.
Using the latest “Pink Fruit” colorway drop from the “Ecstasy” pack as the foundation for the looks, the recent release features a selection of candy-hued iterations that provide an all-over bright makeover across the standout silhouette.
The statement-making experimental design already turns heads, and the new pack propels that ethos further. Whether it’s an understated outfit putting together a sky blue PUMA track jacket and pleated skirt, or elevating it with a layered T-shirt and button up, or even shaking the look up completely with bold color combinations of sport-meets-style football jersey and baggy denim jeans accessorized with a side-body bag — it’s always the wearer that makes the sneaker.
