Depop has just answered our prayers, introducing a brand-new, in-app feature that will change our styling game forevermore. Dubbed "Outfits," the new tool will allow users to style and plan their looks, using actual pieces from Depop's marketplace.
Launching as a moodboard-style experience, the new feature acts as both a styling and collaging tool, allowing you to pull looks together using any item listings. The new tool aims to shift people's perceptions of Depop from just a shopping app to a place where creativity can flourish and inspiration can be found, which we're very much fans of.
"Outfits is more than just a tool; it's a foundational step in Depop's long-term strategy to create a more socially driven experience. It supports our differentiation in the resale market by leaning into what makes our community unique: creative styling, fashion exploration, and culture-driven commerce," explains Sonia Biddle, Depop's Chief Product Officer, in a press release.
"Outfits is built for the way Depop users already interact with fashion by expressing identity, seeking inspiration, and planning their next great outfit. With this new feature, we're enhancing that behavior with an intuitive, playful, and useful tool that makes the experience even more seamless," she adds.
