Aurembiaix's Fourth Collection Is an Ode to Friendship
info@hypebae.com (Hypebae) Mon, 02 Jun 2025 HypebaeBarcelona-based womenswear label Aurembiaix just presented "Collection 4" through a runway show in its hometown. Founded in 2021 by the Catalan-Anglo design duo, Flor Violeta Sobrequés and Chloe Campbell, the brand takes inspiration from "unsung stories of female tenacity."
Taking its name from the last Countess of Urgell, who lived in Barcelona back in the 12th century, the brand pays tribute to her powerful legacy through its femme-forward designs. Toeing the line "between girlish and grandiose," the brand looks at dressmaking as an art form and as a result, offers a seasonless collection of made-to-order pieces that blend artisan techniques with contemporary design.
Hand-crafted in-house, the brand sources its fabrics from nearby markets and deadstock suppliers, while its knitted pieces are lovingly produced by a local artisan. For its fourth collection, Aurembiaix took inspiration from the concept of long-lasting friendships and memories, capturing moments in time.
Favoring contrasting colors with pastels, excessive layering and juxtaposing fabrics, the collection offered a selection of looks that blended playful sheer looks and sequins with comfort-oriented layers, presenting a mish-mash of styles and silhouettes.
