For its latest collaboration, New Balance has joined forces with Dover Street Market, celebrating its 40-year milestone of manufacturing in the U.K.
Together, the duo has reworked the 991 sneaker, the predecessor to the 990v2 first launched in 2001. The kicks, which are made in New Balance’s U.K. factory in Flimby, Cumbria, don a gray and beige color palette. The dark gray mesh upper is complemented with nubuck overlays throughout for a premium feel, while the signature "N" logo sits on the sides. DSM and New Balance's 991 branding appear on the tongue, as well as the heel to highlight the team-up.
