Lacoste SS26 Took Us to the Locker Room

For Spring/Summer 2026, Lacoste took us to where the spirit of sport begins, the locker room. Transforming the historic Hall Eiffel in Paris into an immersive pre-game sanctuary, the space saw cascading shower curtains, steamed glass panels and an atmosphere thick with anticipation. It was a set that captured both the adrenaline of imminent competition and the vulnerability of preparation, offering an ode to pre-game rituals, familiar to both champions and us amateurs alike.

Creative Director Pelagia Kolotouros channeled the brand's athletic DNA in a fresh light, focusing on founder René Lacoste's formative training years. The collection also saw an exploration of the allure of an undone state of dress, walking the line between performance and sensuality by presenting meticulously styled looks that instead felt spontaneous.

Unbuttoned shirts, loosened track pants and sheer fabrications all remixed with a vintage sportswear vibe that culminated in something sporty and sensual. Traditional performance fabrics were combined with newer materials to create looks inspired by the locker room, such as transparent organza mimicking shower curtains and towel fabrics wrapped around the waist as skirts or layered over pants. Reflective leather and tech-silk nylon were used to create wet-look pieces, as if fresh out of the shower, while whimsical details were seen in subtle inscriptions reading "Tennis for Everyone" and "Only for Tennis," nodding to the brand's heritage. The accessories also received a tennis-inspired makeover with accents reminiscent of the pleated skirt and handles mimicking racket grips.

A palette of frosted sheers, glossy nylons, burnt oranges and archival Lacoste blue moved down the shower room runway with an athletic energy. The result was a collection that felt effortless and clean in every sense, a fresh chapter in Lacoste's evolving dialogue between sport and style.
