Carhartt WIP and Salomon are back together for the first time since 2022, collaborating on an all-new X-ALP sneaker. Reworking one of Salomon's staple silhouettes, the latest link up expands on the initial partnership's focus on functionality and durability. The result? A pair of sneakers designed for any environment and any task, from rugged trails to city streets.
Their first collaboration was a hiking boot made for the outdoorsy type, with an understated colorway of navy and black with sage green and yellow details. This time, the duo went for a sleeker, more adaptable look. The Salomon x Carhartt WIP X-ALP arrives in a grainy, black leather. Matching suede panels give the sneaker an elevated look, filling in the negative space with soft-to-the-touch fabric. The tongue and heel are decorated by Carhartt WIP's signature camouflage, and a speckled sole ties the sneaker together.
For the campaign, the brands tapped filmmaker Bailey Marklew, capturing the shoe in a remote location befitting the typical Salomon wearer, but with a futuristic, sci-fi twist.
The Salomon x Carhartt WIP X-ALP sneaker will be available to purchase in-store and online via the Salomon and Carhartt WIP websites starting December 18.
