McQueen’s SS26 Pre-Collection Takes Us to a British Stately Home

Rebellious spirit, hedonism and irreverence entwined with refinement, the McQueen Spring/Summer 2026 Pre-Collection is here.
Romanticism receives an edge with shattered chandeliers embroidered on black silk and sharp suits cut close to the body. The brand's classic Savile Row precision is seen throughout, but with a subversive nature that transforms tradition. The classic archival McQueen tartan is re-engineered with modernism in mind on asymmetric hems, while elsewhere the cult favorite skull print returns on silk foulards and dresses. McQueen also throws it back with the Manta bag returning from SS10 and reimagined with supple, sharp and adjustable geometry.
The collection feels quintessentially British, taking inspiration from outerwear reminiscent of countryside-chic with waxed cotton jackets, gabardine car coats and sculpted leather all cinched with the definitive McQueen silhouette. The collection is dripping in sparkle with fringe-cut crystal chandelier jewelry, and elsewhere, the skull motif appears again in silver form.
The collection, captured by Sammy Khoury, sees a grand country escape making up the backdrop, while models dance through fields and stately homes (almost Saltburn-coded).
