Sandy Liang is always a welcome addition to the New York Fashion Week schedule and for the Spring/Summer 2026 season, girlhood's favorite designer brought the goods. Leaning into classically Liang motifs like pastel-toned florals and satins and preppy two-piece sets, the new collection took inspiration from the life of Huguette Clark, a Fifth Avenue heiress and artist known for creating a world of dollhouses.

As a result, SS26 explored the concept of objects and the relationship between "tangible and fantasy" and "childhood and future." Oversized buttons and bows were central to the collection, as was brightly-colored plaid prints and 3D textures. Standout silhouettes include a white shift dress emblazoned with pastel pink underwear across it, alongside another covered entirely in miniature doll dresses.

The show itself took place at Chelsea Market's Buddakan restaurant, blending "the serenity of Asia" with "the flamboyance of 16th-century Paris. While inspiration was also taken from the grand decor, the collection also leaned into influences like Thumbelina and The Secret Life of Arrietty.
