Damson Madder's Latest Collection Is an Ode to "Cocktail Gorpcore"

Cult-loved London label Damson Madder just dropped its Fall/Winter 2025 collection alongside its first-ever campaign video, titled "In the Slow Lane," which celebrates the art of slowing down.

The brand film, directed by award-winning duo Fanny & Rory, stars London-based model and muse Lily McMenamy and sets the tone for the season ahead. Inspired by early 2000s arthouse cinema, it follows the heroine 'Damson' as she moves joyfully through a nostalgic dream world.

The collection takes inspiration from the outdoors and is rooted in nineties and noughties Britpop culture. Juxtaposing punky checks with delicate blouses and dresses, it perfectly captures that nostalgic blend of femininity and edge. Described as rebellious with a thoughtful design ethos, the almost-preppy pieces offer unexpected twists, with detachable belts and functional straps to adjust the silhouettes, making them fluid and utilitarian. The press release dubs the collection "cocktail gorpcore," with the outdoor spirit combined with evening glam. So if you're thinking of going for a drink after your weekend hike, this collection has you covered.

With the colder months rapidly approaching, the brand has also expanded its knitwear range, crafted entirely from 100% Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certified wool. Highlights include a rabbit intarsia cardigan with a Peter Pan collar and a navy sweater vest with playful prints. Tie details, detachable hoods, bonnets and fun graphics mean Damson Madder is back with all its usual charm, with a twist.

To celebrate the launch, the brand will be hosting an activation ahead of New York Fashion Week on September 10. The collection will be styled on a collective of real New York chess players curated by Club Chess.

The collection is now available via the Damson Madder website, where you can also view the dreamy campaign video.
