Blumarine's Resort 2026 Collection Is a Masterclass in Vacation Styling
info@hypebae.com (Hypebae) Tue, 17 Jun 2025 HypebaeIn January this year, newly appointed creative director David Koma launched the first taste of his vision for Blumarine. Now, the designer is building on that vision with the new Resort 2026 collection. Leaning into his signature aesthetics of glitz and glamor, Koma takes inspiration from themes of Milanese dressing, coastal sensuality and the volcanic Aeolian Islands that act as the collection backdrop.
Exploring the relationship between on-duty and off-duty dressing, Blumarine's Resort 2026 collection sits somewhere between. Blurring the lines between the city and the beach, the collection remixes the dress codes of both locations, blending cover-ups into sheer cardigans, swimwear to zebra-printed kaftans and solid-hued slips to skin-tone tulle dresses.
Characterized by floaty fabrics like crinkled georgette, light crepe and lace, the collection leans into an effortless sensibility, embodying the fluidity of the sea. Lace continues to be a central theme this season, resulting in "poet" blouses and dresses made entirely of rose-hued Chantilly lace, plus dresses, cardigans, pyjamas and swimwear all complete with lace effects and inserts. Zebra motifs also re-appear throughout, landing on laser-distressed shirts and sarongs.
Elsewhere, the collection includes distressed knits, midi skirts and wet-look bikinis with metal rings and dolphin pendants, merging classic silhouettes with a hint of sensuality and playfulness. Rounding out the resort-wear offering is a mix of accessories and footwear styles, including taffeta hats, raffia bags and pointed pumps, along with kitten-heel mules, charm necklaces and dolphin pendants.
Essentially, the collection is a masterclass in vacation styling, merging casual on-the-coast energy with the glamor of dressing up for dinner.
