According to the team's website, "Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark has suffered a left quadriceps strain and will be out a minimum of two weeks... Further updates will be provided, as available, following re-evaluation." The injury can take up to six weeks for full recovery, however.
Since the announcement, "Did Caitlin Clark quit the WNBA?" has gone viral, leading to misinformation. However, the women's basketball star did not quit. Instead, the star will be benched as she nurses her quad injury.
Most known for her rivalry with Angel Reese, Clark's injury has divided Twitter. Her team tweeted, "When you allow this kind of behavior in your league, someone is bound to get hurt eventually. The WNBA needs to protect its players — Caitlin Clark deserves better."
