The Biggest Highlights from Haute Couture Week So Far
info@hypebae.com (Hypebae) Wed, 09 Jul 2025 HypebaeThis year's edition of Paris Haute Couture Week is in full swing, with Schiaparelli's highly anticipated show marking the start of the season. With the likes of Dua Lipa, Cardi B and a live crow in attendance, Daniel Roseberry's Fall/Winter 2025-26 collection set the bar pretty high, but in the last two days, several showcases from some of our fave couturiers have continued to exceed this season's standards.
For example, Rahul Mishra's return to the runway featured extravagant headdresses, dresses draped in strings of pearls and roses that appeared to float as the model walked past. Following Mishra, we were treated to a delectable collection from Robert Wun, whose unique head coverings, embellishments and theatrical approach to design did not disappoint.
Next, Demna took his final bow for Balenciaga, presenting a star-studded showcase that featured house favorites like Kim Kardashian and Naomi Campbell.
Ahead, we revisit some of the biggest highlights of Haute Couture Week so far. Stay tuned for more major moments still to come.
Schiaparelli
Kicking off Couture Week in style, Schiaparelli presented a collection that aimed to blur the line "between past and future." Through a series of, primarily, black and white looks, the collection took inspiration from the archives, blending signature silhouettes with elements of futurism and drama. Moving away from the House's signature corseted silhouettes, this latest offering focuses instead on experimenting with the waist and hips in unexpected ways, presenting a mixture of "fantasy" looks and evening gowns. The collection also debuted what Roseberry has dubbed "Eyes Wide Open" embroidery, resulting in a dress with an all-over iris motif, along with metallic thread lashes and lids.
Rahul Mishra
Rahul Mishra's Fall 2025 couture collection was dubbed "Becoming Love," tributing the thousands of artisans who help to bring a designer's vision to life. Leaning into Indian craftsmanship, the collection evolved Mishra's exploration of silhouette and sculpture with decadent materials, exaggerated accessories and experimental detailing.
Robert Wun
Robert Wun presented his FW25 collection this season, exploring "the ritual of dressing" and the role of fashion in our wider lives. As always, the lauded designer demonstrated his exceptional tailoring expertise, showcasing intricately embroidered gowns, head-dresses and essentially, works of art.
Balenciaga
Demna's final couture collection for Balenciaga was undoubtedly one of the biggest highlights of this Couture Week, enlisting friends of the house like Kim Kardashian to walk the runway for the brand one last time. Alongside Kardashian, brand ambassadors like Nicole Kidman and Cardi B were in attendance as Demna took his final bow. The collection itself was a tribute to all things Demna and Cristóbal Balenciaga, delving deep into the archives and taking inspiration from old Hollywood glamor and era-defining icons like Elizabeth Taylor.
