Bottega Veneta's SS26 Glam Is Serving Feminine Sophistication

At Bottega Veneta's Spring/Summer 2026 show at Milan Fashion Week, Pat McGrath harped on the brand's signature toned-down sophistication with a glowy makeup look. Making use of Pat McGrath Labs' lineup of luminous products, the duo conceptualized looks the makeup artist calls "Bottega elegance at its freshest."

In honor of Louise Trotter's debut, McGrath says the SS26 collection inspired a beauty story with two major influences: Milanese minimalism and New York counter-culture. Combining the two opposing aesthetics, models sported foundation with a touch of highlighter, flushed cheeks, muted eye shadow and smoked-out eyeliner. While the skin was left flawless with an airbrush finish, the eyes were sculpted to add structure.

By emphasizing the eye looks, completed with the Mothership I: Subliminal Eyeshadow Palette and the PermaGel Ultra Glide Eye Pencil, the glam maintained a subdued nature while also referencing the rich color palette of the collection. Similarly to the garments, the makeup speaks to the brand's new-found interest in bold femininity. "The look embodies understated sophistication and individuality," McGrath says.
