Donald Glover and New Balance Aim to Disrupt Collab Culture With Minimalist RC30s

New Balance continues to expand its portfolio of top tier collaborations with recently revealed collaborations with thisneverthat, Bodega, COMME des GARÇONS and a duo of silhouettes in partnership with Donald Glover.

The project aims to differentiate from other cobranded drops with a universally appealing design. Joe Grondin, Business Unit Manager, Global Communications and Energy Projects at New Balance said in a press release,

With celebrity-endorsed sneakers coming out every weekend, we thought Donald was a good collaborator for New Balance to take a more considered approach. No loud colors or branding, just classic, easy-to-wear colorways of a new silhouette that fit Donald's style.

The New Balance RC30 presented by Donald Glover imbues a 1970s trainer with a contemporary sensibility. Available in mustard and white colorways, the collaboration certainly meets its mark as a decidedly understated sneaker with retro charm.

Look out for the collaboration to release July 8 via New Balance and select retailers July 18 carrying a $120 USD retail price.
