Millie Bobby Brown spoke about her relationship with Stranger Things co-star David Harbour after reports surfaced that she filed bullying and harassment claims against him. There was also speculation that he did not appear with his castmates at several press engagements.
Harbour plays the actress's on-screen father, Jim Hopper, in the hit Netflix series. Earlier this year, Brown allegedly filed the claim ahead of shooting the fifth and final season, but it turns out all is well in Hawkins. The actress detailed her working relationship with the 50-year-old, especially in their more emotional scenes, in an interview with Deadline on TikTok. Brown shared, "Of course I felt safe. We've worked together for 10 years. I feel safe with everyone on that set."
The actress, 21, went on to add that as they play father and daughter on the show, "naturally, you have a closer bond than the rest, because we have had some really intense scenes together, especially in season two."
The pair showed a united front during the season five premiere in Los Angeles, smiling and posing for photos together on the red carpet. When asked why she felt it was necessary to show public unity with her on-screen father following the reports, Brown said: "I mean, we have always been united in that."
Further speculation arose last month as to why Harbour did not appear alongside his Stranger Things costars during the press tour for the final season. It was later shared that Harbour was never confirmed for the interview junket, as he was in production on Courteney Cox's new thriller Evil Genius.
Head to Netflix to stream season five of Stranger Things.
